More on "Where's the evidence base for HIN/SIM?"

Or "Junk data"

[Thread aka ramblings on a theme]
HIN/SIM is a coercive programme that sends police officers into NHS community #mentalhealth services to enforce clinical decisions, sometimes even acting as mentors & counsellors, to highly vulnerable patients with unmet needs. It needs a solid evidence base. But where is it?
Here's a thread on why there needs to be robust evaluation of & a solid evidence base for HIN/SIM > https://twitter.com/CentreforMH/status/1384534798262284289

I've been tweeting a lot about this too, as have others (some threads linked here > https://twitter.com/annedraya/status/1384103025652891652)

And the awesome @StopSIMMH takes an in-depth look (đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„) at concerns around HIN/SIM & the lack of evidence base > https://www.stopsim.co.uk/

This thread briefly looks at just one issue with the HIN/SIM programme - namely that, right back to the start of original SIM pilot on the Isle of Wight, "data" may have been manipulated or even misrepresented, undermining the whole premise of the police initiative.

Dodgy roots.
