PMCARES was non existent for nearly 6 months. Every one was talking about elections and how Didi might be ousted from Bengal stronghold. How world would be a better place with X party winning the election instead of Y. Silently COVID virus mutates (2/n)
We were not investing in Genome sequencing, but wanted to have rallies amounting 100's of thousand people. All along election commision played a mute spectator. People of the country started venturing out once vaccination started. We had massive religious gatherings. (3/n)
No political party dare spoke against any of the super spreader events with an eye on vote bank. Now the same vote bank is dying on streets, in home isolation, on hospital floors waiting for oxygen/beds/treatment. Many are still waiting for getting test reports to confirm (4/n)
If they have tested +ve or not. Even if one has all the symptoms no one would admit them without RTPCR. in addition to be physically draining, it's mentally overwhelming as well. But our country spends little to zero on mental well-being,cause it's a worse disease than Covid(5/n)

@myogiadityanath set a perfect example that home isolation works even for politicians/celebs. He is still working through his covid recovery. Please the common man is struggling with everything right now. Least that can be done is set aside politics and help people
