@mattdavella 10 lessons from 10 years as minimalist.

Mandatory mention to @TheMinimalists

(VISUAL THREAD)
1/ The excitement fades but the value remains.

Even though I wasn't waking every day up with a massive smile but I still saw the benefit and value of minimalist.
2/ You don't have to marry a minimalist.

Find somebody that open-minded, accepting who you were, a good listener, and didn't care if you wore the same shirt every day.
3/ Minimalism is not a religion.

Stop judging people, stop forcing minimalism on other people, keep support them, and be there when they need it.
4/ You spend less time cleaning.

Getting our time back but also peace of mind with a clean environment.
5/ We upgrade too often.

Do we really need this new OS? new improved keyboard? new camera megapixels? does it improve our life? it's up to you to decide.
6/ It won't solve all of your problems.

Minimalism brings focus on what is most important but it won't protect you from burnout, anxiety, and other life problems.
7/ People overthink it.

Stop overthinking start taking action, you can apologize to everyone later.
8/ Minimalism makes gifting easier.
9/ Detaching yourself from stuff that makes You less of a tightass.

Which one is more important when it detach from you, people or physical things?
10/ Minimalism is a practice.

As we move forward keep questioning the things you own so we can continue to live a life that is intentional.
