Re: #avfc - a couple of points that have come up since yesterday.

From our best XI we are three types of player short:

A dominating central midfielder, big, athletic, can break up play and can play as a lone 6. Would give this side an extra dimension.

A wide forward style winger, effectively a second striker who plays wide. Probably playing right side as Ollie will regularly pull left.

And a proper winger. Pace, skill, strength.

Would allow Jack to play at 10, or wide left with two up front. #avfc

Realistically, this is our ideal XI next year (yes I know everyone will say they want a million more players).

Beyond that, another striker & cover for Targett should be on the list. #avfc

Guilbert the New FB
Hause
Luiz or McGinn
Sanson
Traore
Wesley or New CF

Leeds. Yes, Leeds are phenomenal. But realistically they are a year ahead of us. Bielsa’s 3rd full season & Smith basically started again in the PL.

He’ll probably never reach Bielsa’s level. In fact I doubt he will. But using him as a comparison is not entirely fair. #avfc
