#MicroBio21 kicks off today! A few members of the VGP group will be presenting talks and posters (details below), and the programme as a whole looks awesome! Looks to be a great week and we're looking forward to seeing many of you there, virtually of course! @MicrobioSoc

Kicking us off on Tues ( #SARSCoV2 & the #COVID19 pandemic: clinical & translational" workshop) is @The1stNazerick, talking about the assay we've set up to quantify fusion inhibitory neutralising Abs. She'll also be presenting poster P295 in the evening about SARS2 species tropism

Next we have @FlimFlamShimSha in the "RNA viruses" workshop on Wednesday, talking about high throughput screening to identify interferon stimulating genes that are able to inhibit #RSV infection.

And finally, Fatoumatta (we still haven't convinced her to join Twitter!) will be showing us some amazing confocal images from her PhD work looking at #RSV modulation of the innate immune system in the "visualising viruses" workshop on Friday.
