I like spending time going through the thoroughly opaque managerial documents of the Australian Government. It's a good chance to reflect on how much of Commonwealth service delivery is now handled via commercial-in-confidence hard-to-FoI guidelines and deeds with private parties https://twitter.com/ArnJagaurd/status/1386256887562194946
How much is a work for the dole participant worth to a jobactive provider?

The relevant document should be the jobactive deed, as below:
You are immediately told this isn't the real deed - it's a sample. So what the actual deal is between the government and the job active provider is up to your ability to track down the actual, signed copy of your jobactive provider
I'm sure noted jobactive provider Sarina Russo has a copy handily available...
Back to the sample deed. Annex B2 sets out all the payment amounts. Tables 2A, 2B and 2C are all relevant here.
To give an example of a non-regional SPI Participant in an Individual Hosted Activity, you're worth $1,477.30 every six months to your jobactive provider.

(SPI = Stronger Participation Incentives Participant, which is IIRC people under 30 deemed to need less assistance)
Also yes, the program is officially called Work for the Dole
The Deed (which is just a sample) restricts what you can spend the Work for the Dole Fees on. In general: you can only spend them on the costs to provide the activity, or to pay a host organisation to provide it.

Except if another opaque document - the guidelines - say otherwise
The guidelines for Work for the Dole are a 54 page document, and helpfully note that there are another 17 documents that might be relevant.
Still on the guidelines, the only thing specific to what you can use the Work for the Dole Fee for if you're a jobactive provider is this one.

That last bit is fun - the department has the power to say you can use it for whatever you want.
Also, jobactive providers can get an interest-free, 28 day advance of up to 80 per cent of their Work for the Dole Fee, of an amount up to $80,000.
In contrast, jobseekers themselves can get up to a $500 advance, once per year.
