If you look back at English football LOTS of teams had their glory years that spanned 5-10 years. Wolves Spurs Forest Villa Ipswich Everton etc. As things stand this will never happen again. Yes you might get the very odd anomaly like Leicester. But these will be incredibly 1/4
Rare. City have bought 12 players £50m +. Chelsea have bought 8. Spurs have bought 1 so how can you realistically expect to compete. Trust me even Liverpool Arsenal will struggle this decade. United might get a look in cause of huge revenue. The irony is had a super league 2/4
Happened at least Spurs and Arsenal would have had a chance domestically. It’s a closed shop now City and Chelsea will win 80% of domestic trophies this decade. If the only way to compete is petro money it leaves a really bad taste for me. In truth I’ve never felt less 3/4
Connected to club football than I do now. The essence of competition of football should not be who’s got the most money. Of course some clubs will always be richer but right now domestic football is totally skewed or should I say screwed. 4/4
