Trying to get my mother vaccinated [she just crossed 1.5 months of recovery from covid] and finding out what a big disaster vaccine roll out is.

3. Some hospitals have own token system overriding cowin

4. Long queues and no social distancing for vaccination. you're very likely to get covid while you wait for your "jab".
5. Ineligibles below 45 using influence to get vaccinated
6. Eligibles using family connections with doctors getting vaccines at safer private clinics

7. You have to call ahead and confirm vaccines are available and which ones, constantly.
8. If you don't have any connections, you are truly atmanirbhar in case of vaccines.

9. Co-WIN application has been effectively neutered in implementation, just like Aadhaar: Both apps only theoretically guarantee service delivery. In reality service endpoints only use it to notify govt that they provided a service. Actual delivery depends on whims and fancies.

10. As a techie this has convinced me of the uselessness, nay maliciousness, of gatekeeping systems such as co-WIN, aarogya setu, aadhaar etc. Such systems should be banned by law if society is to progress.
