A thread about blasphemy and Pakistan. (1/14)

Blasphemy is any action or offence of speaking sacrilegiously about ANY religion,its Almighty or/and its prophets. (2/14)

Pakistan penal code has 8 laws against blasphemy. All of these laws aren’t only for islam but for all major religions in Pakistan.(3/14)

However these laws are being misused. Many muslims in Pakistan say phrases to hurt religious feelings of people of other faiths. But they are not taken seriously because they don’t consider it blasphemy. The only thing they think is blasphemy is against islam. (4/14)

No judicial execution for blasphemy has ever taken place in Pakistan. These so called muslims go and kill that alleged man (who might be innocent or might be guiltily) before the court gives any verdict because these extremists take the law into their hand (5/14)

If the court gives the verdict that the man is guilty of blasphemy he should be punished accordingly however here people accuse someone of blasphemy then extremists come out and kill him or her before the matter is discussed in court. (6/14)

And guess what, many celebrate these murderers as heros. (7/14)

In Pakistan, if someone doesn’t agree with someone’s religious beliefs they accuse them of blasphemy. If they don’t like that persons opinion on islam they accuse them of blasphemy without understanding that the person may not have the knowledge of islam that he does. (8/14)

Many Christians are forced to convert to islam by extremists.Pakistan is an islamic state safe for muslims but the quaid e azam and other muslims and minorities gave sacrifices for was the one where minorities would be safe and they would easily practice their religion. (9/14)

False accusations of blasphemy is a serious issue. Recently extremists accused aurat march of blasphemy because of a slogan which in no way was blasphemy. (10/14)

Because they knew they’d get away with it and no one would hold them accountable instead they’d be praised. (11/14)

We must make laws in Pakistan that protect the accused until proven guilty. If an accused person is killed his murderers should be jailed or hung to death because that’s the punishment for murder. (12/14)

And lastly those who make false accusations of blasphemy against anyone they should be punished (13/14)
