I was playing #CallOfDuty tonight, and someone told me that a cop had shot a black kid in Virginia 14 times, and then instead of taking him to the hospital - the cop took him to his house.
I responded, "That makes NO sense at all, I promise I'll look into it after this game!" /1

So I looked into it, and every single detail of what I was told ended up being GROSSLY incorrect.
1. Isaiah Brown (victim & not a kid) was given a ride home from the very same police officer that shot him several hours beforehand because his car had broken down. /2

3. Isiah Brown called 911 at 3AM and on the phone was threatening to kill his brother.
The officer showed back up, and after Isiah approached him while the officer had him at gunpoint - ignoring the officers orders (which were screamed at him repeatedly) he was shot 7 times. /3

4. And this can all be proven with body cam evidence:
If an officer is ordering you to comply with his demands, and you not only defy him but approach him w/ what he identifies as a gun - you will always get shot, regardless of your skin color.

5. This just goes to show the outlandish level of misinformation that can spread so fast. Even when evidence is presented to the contrary, it stands.
Now because of this misinformation we are seeing more protests and eventually #BlackLivesMatter
will get involved - believe that.
