multivitamins are a great option if you don’t know much about your vitamin levels. they’ve personally had a huge impact on my nail strength and physical health. i haven’t noticed a difference in my hair but when i stop taking it for a while i get much more dizzy. so especially +
+ for people who don’t get enough nutrients through their diet (or if you purge) , a multivitamin can literally save you from malnutrition.
vegans and vegetarians!:
- vitamin b12 is mostly found in animal products, meaning that you are likely deficient. this causes extreme fatigue, memory loss, brain fog, tingly feet, anemia, shortness of breath, and many more symptoms
for those with depression, those with darker skin, or those who don’t get outside much: vitamin D

1. black people are much more likely to be deficient in vitamin d, as melanin may hinder the synthesis of vitamin d
2. spending less time in the sun also puts you at risk for +

vitamin d deficiency can cause brittle and aching bones, muscle pain and spasms, joint pain, frequent sickness etc.
^ if you have a restrictive ed, your bones may be damaged. vitamin d may help to reverse some of this
fiber!!
y’all already know most of us don’t get enough fiber in our diets and have fucked up bowls. i included a list of foods including soluble vs insoluble fiber. you can take supplements for this, or incorporate some of these foods into your diet.

zinc: this is one of the first supplements introduced in ed recovery clinics, as it’s usually one of the most urgent. (along with potassium) i personally eat vegetables to get my zinc, +

bulimics ! please take electrolyte supplements. firstly, potassium. when purging, your electrolyte levels get completely thrown off, which can cause abnormal heart rhythm, muscle weakness, cramping, and muscle paralysis
magnesium: this deficiency usually goes hand in hand with potassium if you have an ed
with similar symptoms, you might have a lot of muscle issues when deficient in magnesium.
if you’re concerned about calories, salmon is a good low calorie source of magnesium
IRON . the most well known deficiency
pls don’t take iron pills unless you know you’re deficient. (17mg or less is usually fine, but taking too much can cause nausea and stomach issues.) food-wise, you can get iron by eating foods like dried fruit, red meat, lentils, & greens
vitamin a: though pretty hard to miss your daily value, it’s still possible to be deficient in vitamin a. this can cause a lot of skin issues, but thankfully, eating foods like carrots can help you meet your recommendations while leaving room for other foods you enjoy
vitamin c: studies have shown that vitamin c supplements can shorten the length of a cold in 14% of children and 8% of adults. c is also an easy vitamin to get enough of, as 4 strawberries surpasses the daily value. pls eat ur fruits ur not a pirate i don’t want u to get scurvy
if you can afford it, the best route is to get your blood drawn and get the professional opinion from a doctor ! also i’ll link some websites that you can use to take quizzes and get a month supply of supplements delivered to your house
