Yep. The othering of and attacks on Aus citizens who live or have family overseas is such a bizarre and damaging part of this pandemic.

This is such a blatant example of a government trying to direct hate at individuals rather than address systems failure.

We have thousands of Australians left overseas unable to return and and many, many more apart from family for even longer periods of time because of slow vaccine roll out.

Relying on borders for everything is such terrible governing

As the world confronts the various challenges of the coming decades, we need systems that work - not ones that appeal to our basest instincts.
