Binge-watched S1 of "The Chosen" today. Interesting and well-done take on the gospels.

I find it particularly interesting that *it seems* they present Matthew almost as if he's on the autism spectrum.

And Jesus seems really...human.

And the speculative backstories work.

I really like this Jesus that's presented, mostly because he's just a regular dude who just happens to know who he is, has to do, and is capable of.

I didn't expect Joseph to be Black, but that's another aspect of the diversity of the series; skin colors run the gamut.
