Honestly if they wanted to push the childhood connection so hard, they should have shot more footage instead of showing the same shots over and over again. It creates the feeling that Alina is standing still, trapped, reliving this same memory forever.

Inej is my favorite though. I& #39;d watch a whole show about her.

Ep4 30min in.... so wait, it& #39;s TEXT that the thought of Mal holds her back, keeps her from acknowledging her power, makes her LITERALLY HARM HERSELF, but.... we& #39;re supposed to believe he& #39;s good for her?

And then there& #39;s this amazing scene where the Darkling genuinely mourns his lost men, she comforts him, her powers are amplified.... WHAT IS THE REASON???

I& #39;m debating stopping after this episode.

I& #39;m just.... confused. Everything suggests that whatever his original plans, Aleksandr& #39;s feelings for Alina are by now genuine. Even when his mother revealed what she had done, his only concern was for Alina& #39;s safety.

If I did NOT know how this story ends, I would assume we& #39;re headed toward a redemption for the Darkling and Alina ultimately choosing him, while Mal is perhaps reunited with Zoya and they become a thing.

I do not get the PURPOSE of shoving Mal and Alina together at this point.

So yeah I& #39;m seriously thinking of stopping and just going with fanfic from here on out. Anybody got some recs?
