Keto is going to look different for different people depending on need:
* Some people have money to buy avocados, ribeye, specialty keto products, sweeteners, coconut oil, etc
* Some people have enough money to buy eggs, tinned fish, frozen veggies, butter, and minced meat
1/n
* Some people enjoy LOTS of variety, including fancy meals with multiple sides, beautiful sauces, and a touch of garnish
* Some people are happy with simple meals that don't require much time to prepare. Or, simply don't have the time or mental bandwidth to spare.
* Some get by with stock standard keto, following any general guide. And feel great!
* Some are trying to address a specific, or tricky issue, where a more specialized approach is needed to see results. Maybe this means dairy free, or carnivore, or something else.
* Some people feel fantastic on higher protein, and see all the results they were hoping for!
* Other people may find that higher fat suits them better, and that it's the only way to get closer to their goals. (yet others, find that either works and pick the one they like best)
* Some people don't need any supplements or medications, and find that they no longer need the ones they were taking before
* Others find that targeted supplementation is necessary due to pre-existing issues, or find that medication is still helpful in the short or long term.
* Some find that something causes them an issue and swear it off forever.
* Others find that something causes them an issue... but that the tradeoff is worth it for them to indulge occasionally or more frequently.
* Some find that a cheat day ruins their plan: it throws them off track, causes spiraling, or has health consequences.
* Others find that a cheat day once a week, or once a month, or once a year, is no big deal and they find it enjoyable and a way to better adhere longterm.
* Some only want to eat grass finished beef, eggs from pastured chickens, wild caught fish, and organic veggies
*Others can't afford it, or just don't consider it a high priority for their goals and preferences
A ketogenic diet is going to look different from one person to the next, depending on the person's goals, preferences, concerns, time availability, and culture.
The GOOD NEWS is that a ketogenic diet has the ability to change depending on these factors.
My ketogenic diet may look different from your ketogenic diet.
My strictness level may differ from yours.
I may not do any cheat days, while you may enjoy some occasionally.
I may be a carnivore, and you may love a big salad.
It doesn't matter.
What matters is good health.
So, if someone decides they want to try and achieve that with keto, and feels it's a good fit for them, let's try to get them the information and resources they need to make it happen and see if it will work for them according to their needs and preferences.
So far I've generally been very happy with those in the keto community who are always willing to offer support, advice, free resources, and overall a desire to do what they can for someone else in need.
I hope it stays that way, because I'm sure most of us know what it's like...
... to struggle, and how lifechanging it can be for someone to listen, hear, understand, and try to get you what you need to succeed.

That's all I wanted to say. Thanks, fam.
