a long thread to appreciate choi chanhee <3

first i would like to talk about his vocals. chanhees vocals are very unique and you can easily distinguish his voice in each song. he is the one who does most of the high notes and adlibs with sangyeon. here’s an example from their kd performance

he also competed on the show, king of masked singer where he sang the song ‘eraser’ by ALi. although he only made it to round 1, he is still an amazing vocalist. you can hear the emotion in his voice and you can tell he practiced a whole lot for it.

chanhee mostly sings in a higher register but when you hear his lower register, it is still amazing. here is an example of his higher register. vid below is him singing his part in one of tbz’s songs, clover.

here’s an example of his lower register. this shows how powerful and gentle his voice can be. it also shows his capability of singing high notes

he almost cried while singing this song you can literally see it in his expressions and his voice. i’m not okay.

next! dancing. chanhee is an amazing dancer even though he has no prior experience. you can see his dedication and his interest in dancing when you see him practice or even just see him on stage.

i don’t know why his dancing is not praised enough. perfectly in sync with the other members. look at him go

the energy. the passion. the dedication. you can see that he practiced a lot for this performance.

i find this fancam so satisfying bc his moves were so graceful, smooth and clean.

chanhee has lately been trying to song write songs and get the hang of it. in this vid, chanhee said that he writes songs based on his feelings in words

according to the members, chanhee is one of the most loving & caring members out of the group. he always tells their members to eat, he knows when they’re not feeling their best, he always tries to lift up the mood if the groups is feeling down.

whenever a member is having a rough time, chanhee notices and finds a way to comfort them. in this video, sunwoo says chanhee knows that he’s feeling down and comforts him.

chanhee created the #더비구함 and #TheBguham hashtag to help deobis make friends with other deobis after a fan asked him how they could find deobi friends. which is why we use that hashtag whenever deobis want to find deobi moots

when hyunjun (hwall) was absent because of his injury, chanhee held his hand out to include him while he was gone :((

lastly, chanhee has been very active on unvrse, vlive, and twitter. his vlives are meant to be a space where him and deobis can relax and have a chat. recently he has been posting everyday at 4:03pm kst (deobi day) he loves to give us content since deobis are all around the world

this thread’s purpose was to put more light on chanhee’s talent, attentiveness, thoughtfulness and caring nature. i’m sad that he doesn’t get much attention that he deserves. he’s a very inspiring person, and has worked hard to be where he is, which he sacrificed a lot for.
