I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'm going to do about MacOS content in my book. The long and short of it, is that Big Sur has at worse, deprecated practically all of the VMware Fusion chapter, and as far as VirtualBox on OSX is concerned, I have yet to test it.
I purchased an upgrade license to run vmware Fusion pro on Big Sur, and the virtualization API changes have made it to where the one fucking feature I need is not fucking working.
the whole reason many buy Fusion/Workstation pro is the ability to create custom virtual network segments. VMware will happily let you buy it, but then you'll come to find that the feature doesn't fucking work. and its documented EVERYWHERE.
There's a part of me saying its a waste of paper and to just nuke ALL of the content, with a disclaimer saying why, while another part of me says to keep the content, and basically say that this content doesn't work on big sur x86, and will likely never work on the M1 macs.
thats over 100 pages of content gone because they arbitrarily fucked their virtualization API on a whim.
