1) If the mainstream media simply thought I was incorrect for saying that DeSantis is more likely to lose than win in 2022, they& #39;d just ignore me. I& #39;m nobody. But they& #39;re fanatically attacking me for it, which means they know I& #39;m right, and they need me to shut up about it.
2) Why? It& #39;s not partisan. Most of the media pundits attacking me are liberals. But their main goal is to spend 2021 and 2022 milking the "DeSantis is inevitable in 2024" narrative for ratings. If anyone admits DeSantis could lose in 2022, their narrative immediately loses value.
3) The mainstream media is built on a whole bunch of overlapping false narratives designed to drive ratings and page views. So why are they freaking out about this one DeSantis narrative? It& #39;s apparently the one narrative they see as the most valuable of all for their ratings.
4) It makes sense. The mainstream media planned to use "Trump 2024" to scare people into staying tuned in, but most people don& #39;t believe that one anymore. So "DeSantis 2024" is the scariest thing they can come up with for now to drive ratings.
5) DeSantis is highly unlikely to emerge as serious 2024 contender, even if he does win in 2022. But the media is thinking more short term than that. They can milk "DeSantis 2024" for ratings in 2021 and 2022. But only if they keep up the illusion that he& #39;s unstoppable for now.
6) Again, if the mainstream media simply thought I was wrong about DeSantis being highly beatable in 2022, they& #39;d just ignore me like the nobody that I am. Instead they& #39;re obsessively seeking me out (on their day off!) to try to shut me up before people realize I& #39;m right.
7) I went through the same thing for four years. I kept factually pointing out why Trump was always on track to lose reelection, and the media (especially liberal pundits) kept obsessively attacking me for it. I was getting in the way of their ratings narrative.
8) It& #39;s now clear that the entire mainstream media (on the left and right) is eager to hand DeSantis reelection in 2022, just so they can milk him for national ratings. That means we have to be the ones to defeat him in 2022, because no one else will.
9) That& #39;s fine. We beat Trump in 2020 even though the media spent the entire time refusing to acknowledge how vulnerable he was. We can do it again in 2022. Florida is a wacky place, but DeSantis is far less savvy than Trump was.
10) Once the Democrats have official candidate(s) for the Florida 2022 Governor race, we& #39;ll begin posting links for how you can donate directly to those campaigns and/or volunteer. We& #39;ll make it a national effort to defeat DeSantis. I& #39;m more determined than ever.
