Why do people pretend to care so much about art? It’s okay to enjoy commercial nonsense. Just don’t delude yourself into thinking it’s anything more than that.

I’m being kinda a jerk here though. I get why people are upset with bad localizations, and there is a history of localizers mishandling Japanese anime — see Harmony Gold’s handling of Macross. You don’t see this with French or Belgian animation IPs.
