Mediahouses and advocates are reporting that departments such as @DOJCD_ZA, @DWYPD_ZA and the @PresidencyZA are playing a coordinated runaround strategy to ignore questions, calls and any statements on the matter. @hrw

Over 20 LGBTQI+ and Gender activist NGO’s and Activists Groups demanded in memorandum that the President speak out on the matter by Friday 23rd April. The @PresidencyZA @CyrilRamaphosa has said nothing. @hrw

In the past 6 weeks there have been 8 known/reported cases of violent murders committed against the community. (NGO Love Not Hate data shows that 88% of LGBTQI+ people in SA do not report crimes committed against them) @hrw

Private sector your visibility at events such as @JhbPride is loud. You understand the value of the ‘Pink’ Rand, but do you value the lives that fuel that economy? Where is your voice on these attacks and silence of government? @MercedesBenz_SA @SandtonCity @Discovery_SA

Religious leaders, you’re up. @Methchurch this is your stance on welcoming LGBTQI+ people into your community as of 2020. Yet when their blood spills you are no where to be found? @OfficialSACC where is your voice in this bloodshed?
