is cities skylines supposed to make me think I need new glasses?
ok fixed.
apparently it loaded up defaulting to 1600x900, which isn't the resolution of my monitor, but it's doing that pseudo-full-screen thing so it is just scaling up a 1600x600 window? very blurry-like
my eyes hurt now though
I haven't had this much trouble looking at a screen since I tried to run linux with nvidia drivers back in 2005
a 19" CRT at stuck at 60 hz on a too-small desk will give me motion sickness in about 5 minutes and it apparently takes 10 minutes to recompile the nvidia kernel driver and get out of 60hz mode
why is there a button for the game I'm playing in the upper right corner
is this like how c64 games often couldn't afford to run the game fullscreen so they just covered up part of the screen with a UI that included the name of the game at all times?
advisor help MY ASS
it's not an advisor unless there's a little guy with a beard yelling that I will regret things
it has begun
this is what civic planners actually believe
cities skylines, how exactly are the two highlighted pieces of road overlapping
okay it's not great but there we go. a vaguely terrible recreation of a five-roundabout metaroundabout, like the magic roundabout in Swindon.

BUT IS IT ENOUGH?
I'm kinda amused by how every single time I've run into an issue I've googled "how do I X in Cities: Skylines?" the answer has just been "add this mod"
so if a regular roundabout is order 1, and a magic roundabout is order 2, this would be the order 3 double-magic roundabout
but the question we have to ask ourselves:

is it enough?
Behold, the fourth order triple-magic roundabout
Sadly there's no way to go up to a fifth order quadruple-magic roundabout and have it all fit within the city limits, even with maximum expansion.
However, I'm using the MoveIt mod, which lets me copy-paste designs outside of the city limits, so that can't stop me.
Behold!
You barely can behold because even with the disable-fog mod and the free camera option, it's basically impossible to fit the whole thing on screen
and it'd just be absurd to go any farther. I'd have to install mods to unlock all 81 tiles, massively terrain edit to get rid of the rivers, and the frame rate would be ruined by even trying to render a 6th order roundabout.
uh oh
so, a:
1st order roundabout has 1 circle
2nd order has 5 circles
3rd order has 25 circles
4th order has 125 circles
5th order has 625 circles
6th order has 3125 circles
to quote Fugazi...
I am a patient boy
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait
I know it hasn't crashed yet because it's still rendering one frame every couple minutes
giving up on that. gonna reload and go from there
hey at least the zoom mod now means I can see everything at once. That'll help.
I don't know how to get rid of water other than leveling the rivers, destroying the water sources, and waiting
I timed it. It takes 21 seconds for it to finish adding in a 5th order roundabout
HOW DARE YOU
thanks for the tip, loading screen, but I'm not sure "more roundabouts" will fix any of my problems
I did it. Sixth Order connected roundabouts! 3,125 circles.
Here's a video of zooming the camera around the loop to give an idea of the scale
is there a Streets of Cities: Skylines add-on game yet?
I'd also like a Cities: Skylinescopter
but we still need Jacques Servin to help insert Himbos into it.
anyway I may be stuck here unless I completely redesign the 1st-order traffic circles to be way smaller
