Here at the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station for a press conference held by families who have been harmed by deputies. The station has been completely blocked off by police tape. LASD members are coming out in riot gear.

One deputy appears to be filming the media and people who have gathered for the event.

Austin Dove is representing Isais Cervantes, who was shot by LASD deputies a few weeks ago. He says only 16 seconds passed before Cervantes was shot.

Christian Contreras, another attorney for the family, says that deputies “treated [them] like criminals” following the shooting. Contreras says that deputies continued to question relatives at the station after they said they did not want to speak anymore.

The older sister of Isaias Cervantes says tearfully that her home was disrespected.

The father of Isais Cervantes says his family has been destroyed. “Nadie más, nadie mas,” he says.
