so the dojima house makes no sense (thread) 1/15

i came to research this because, in trying to write this fic, i realized i couldn't figure out which way bancho's fucking bedroom faces. what farm is that? what roof is that? what WALL is that? how the fuck does this house exist? AND why are there no blueprints online?

bancho's bedroom is upstairs bc when you're ready for bed you go upstairs, easy (shoutout to white miso)

the stairs are next to the entranceway/genkan

the genkan is pretty wide, which matches with the outside of the house

however, if we match the windows with the front of the house with the windows in bancho's bedroom then how is there space for stairs? we know the stairs don't turn halfway up because we can see where they'd need to turn and they don't turn

either bancho's bedroom windows has to face the street because there's only two windows, and there's not enough space on that second story for another room

and also where do the stairs lead to if his bedroom faces the street?

this is exacerbated by the animation which gives us... this

- a straight up the stairs shot (confirming no turn halfway up the stairs)
- two doors upstairs ???
- a SINGLE TEENY WINDOW PERPENDICULAR TO BANCHO'S BEDROOM???

according to the animation there's *two* doors in the upstairs hallway. no. there can't be

- his bedroom HAS to face the street bc if his bedroom faced the back, there would be a small window on the visible wall in this shot
- also what the fuck is the other door for?

also how to explain the stairs from the first story to the second? there's very little space for a staircase to begin with ???

even if we go by JUST the base game, we never get a view of the upstairs hallway OR the stairs themselves OR what's outside of bancho's bedroom at all

we might even be able to assume his bedroom DOES NOT face the front, because why don't we ever see this satellite dish?

then there's this shit which...what the fuck is that other roof? is that... another part of the house? why is it disconnected if it's part of this house? a neighbor's house? THERES NO SPACE FOR A NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE TO BE THAT CLOSE, SO WHAT BUILDING IS THIS????

some people have tried to make it in the sims, which, sure, whatever it works

...except that it doesn't allow at ALL for what we actually experience in bancho's bedroom in game (and even less if we consider the animation)
