Why is it that the big sports media accounts start every article or tweet with

"last week 12 billionaires tried to wreck/destroy/steal football for no reason than their own greed".

Honest question, if I asked your assessment of football 2 weeks ago what would it be?
IMO, it's shite.

FIFA & UEFA are corrupt governing bodies profiteering off of it.

The 2018 & 2022 World Cup votes were awarded purely based on corruption and bribes - as proven by guilty pleas in court. The suits to replace those guilty pleading suits did nothing to reverse
the illegal awarding of these world cups - because they are complicit. This despite 6500 and counting slaves dying to get the Qatar world cup ready - in a country where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death.
The actual quality of football is getting worse year on year due to these governing bodies trying to squeeze every drop out of exhausted athletes. I can count on one hand the number of matches I have seen in the last 18 months that were enjoyable as a neutral.
The cost of football to the matchgoing fan is astronomical. To kit your children out in the latest strip is insanely over priced.

I could go on and on here - but the sport is in a shit state and has been for a long time. I have no idea if the ESL would have made it better, I
don't think it even got to the point of having an actual plan written down and these points discussed with them giving a chance to make some improvements.

I honestly don't think it makes it much worse though. The only thing that would changed is who is at the top of the pyramid
scheme profiteering off the sport and it's fans.

I see absolutely nothing to crow about. We haven't gained anything. And instead of pushing for actual change that would benefit the fans and the game - we are still focused on the 'slutty six' and the 'dastardly dozen' or
whatever the media is referring to them as now in a desperate attempt to distract us from the fact that we have power if we fight back against them - but we won't because we rely entirely on them to tell us what to be mad about.

Be mad about the sport being shit. Be mad at
those responsible for that fact. Stop being mad about what hypothetically might have happened with ESL. The exact same shit is used in every election - this empty supermarket is what a left-wing government would do in power. So please vote us in for more austerity & cronyism.
Ignore the ESL for now.

Focus on how the game was 2 weeks ago. If you remember saying on the regular 'football is dying' 'i don't recognise it anymore' 'I can't afford all these different subscriptions to follow my team' etc. Do something about that. That hasn't changed.
For those saying people called out Qatar...

Was that proportionate to the response to the ESL?

Is the ESL worse than the Qatar WC?

So why does one have some voices of discontent and the other a visceral frenzy demanding action?
