How to register a .eth domain: A thread
First, what is ENS?

Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a look up system. It links information to a name. It offers a secure and decentralized way to address resources using human-readable names. It is a totally distributed domain name provider that allows anyone to buy and manage-
Now the get your .eth domain.

First you’ll need a self-custody Ethereum wallet. I recommend @MetaMask http://MetaMask.io
Select whatever you’d prefer to have it on (browser extension or phone app). I have both.

Create your account and make sure you don’t lose your seed phase.
Next you’d want to buy some eth or test eth. I used test eth from http://rinkeby.io  for this demo.
Make sure you’re on the rinkeby test network then tap the circled area to copy your wallet address which you’ll tweet then copy the tweet link and past on the rinkeby website. You should get the test eth immediately.
Head over to @ensdomains https://app.ens.domains  and connect your wallet
Search for the name.eth you want to buy and see if it’s available.
Select the duration of time you want it for. Btw it still has to be renewed like a normal Web 2.0 domain
If you’ve done this correctly you should be set.

It should look like this
After paying you’d want to set up your ENS domain in reverse record.
Now Update your profile by linking it to different crypto wallet addresses. I have linked my @BundleAfrica BTC wallet address, website and email to my ENS name. Then confirm.
You can now use this ENS domain as your wallet address instead of always copying and pasting the long format.
S/o @balajis for organizing this task via @oneseventwonine @ensdomains
