I think I'm going to be the subject of some ladies FB post. I'm minding my own business sitting at a stop light and Green Days Basketcase is coming on.i have my windows down cause its a nice day.
I start singing as nasally as possible, the fist lyrics. Then I feel eyes on me. I look to my left and there are kids staring at me all under the age of 7 or 9. These little blonde haired children grinning from ear to ear.
I continue my horrible singing. And there smiles got bigger. Then I see thrift mom turn her head to set what her kids are staying at. Her eyes got big ass she stared at this black guy singing word for word this rock song.
At some point she stayed singing along. This light was long as hell. The kids started banging their heads and I'm trying not to laugh. The mom is hanging her head. Then the light turns green and they wave goodbye.
I think I might have helped shape those kid life just a bit. That showed that black people are just like them. Music brings everyone together. We all come together with good music and bad singing.
I was in a bad mood until that point. Seeing those little kids having a good time listening to a old black man singing an older "punk" rock song. Made me happy. I hope for that never too happen again. Stop ruining my bad mood. I had to work on that all day.
