Here’s the problem: when I see anyone react to a *shocking* incident of alleged sex crimes against a developmentally delayed minor by suggesting it’s normal/happens everyday, that makes me wonder: what else have they seen? What else do they know about in the parks? #yyj

And then I wonder: why have they worked so hard to discredit and defund the police, literally the only force who could stop systemic sexual predation against minors in the park if it was occurring?

Why have they worked so hard to tell us the park was safe? What did they know?

And then I wonder: why were members of #yyj council openly suggesting at the table that bylaw should “stand down” operations & “not attend” in these areas and leave them the sole domain of the literal outreach group who endorsed the opinion in the first tweet of this thread. #yyj
