After #SakuAtsu went to dinner for their first date they still wanted to spend time more together but didn’t want to explicitly say it. So they end up at the ice cream store beside the resto. Except Sakusa’s lactose intolerant and Atsumu’s allergic to dairy. They eat, anyway. +
On the train ride home they’re struggling between wanting to stay as close to each other as possible and moving away so the other doesn’t notice that something’s amiss. Sakusa’s stomach is killing him at this point, and Atsumu is starting to feel very hot and itchy. +
They miraculously get home fine. They even hold hands as they walk to the complex, too occupied in keeping their bodies in check to notice how clammy the other’s hand is.

The moment their doors close, though, they start running: Sakusa to the toilet & Atsumu to his epipen.
A few minutes later the doors to their adjacent rooms open at the same time. Sakusa needs more oral rehydration salts, and Atsumu ran out of his meds. But they don’t want to tell the other about that.

“What’re ya doin’ out, Omi?”
“I just
need some drinks.” Not a 100% lie.
“And you? You’re still all bundled up.”
“Ah. ‘M cold.” And definitely not because his neck and arms have gone completely red.

They end up on the same konbini, wandering towards the medicine aisle. For a while they hover, refusing to get their purchase in the other’s presence.
Then Atsumu gives in and takes his medicines, and Sakusa takes his, which is when everything clicks.

Atsumu points an accusatory finger at Sakusa. “I thought ya like ice cream!”

“I thought /you/ like ice cream.”
“But you walked in first!”

“Because I thought you like ice cream and I was being considerate, okay?!”

They stay still until Atsumu chuckles, unravelling the scarf to reveal a very, very red neck. Sakusa huffs a laugh. “My toilet’s not looking good either.”
Atsumu takes Sakusa’s stuff as they walk towards the counter. “Let’s avoid any dairy on our next date, please? We can make a list of allergies or somethin.”

“There’s a next date?” Sakusa meant for it to be a tease, but it comes out hopeful instead.

Hm. Maybe he doesn’t mind.
Not even when Atsumu pays for everything, their purchases in one bag instead of two. “Not until we nurse yer ass back to health. Can’t have ya poopin’ on me on our 2nd date.”

Sakusa rolls his eyes, a fond smile in his lips. “I’m not taking you anywhere looking like that either.”
“Omi, no~ That’s the thing I’m sensitive about!” Sakusa doesn’t miss the reference, the running gag of their day, cracking up along Osaka streets.

“Just give me your ointments or whatever you use. I’ll help you.”

“Your place?” Atsumu realizes how that sounds a little too late.
It goes unnoticed to Sakusa, though, who’s crinkling his nose and whining. “It stinks so much in there right now.”

“It’s fine. I don’t mind.” Sakusa doesn’t know if he wants to swoon or hide from embarrassment. “Also I don’t want ya stinkin up my apartment.”

Oh. Hide it is.
Sakusa speed walks after that, gaining beyond Atsumu, but Atsumu catches up quickly. “I’m kiddin’! I really don’t mind! I’ll still date ya even after I see ya poopin’ yer brains out! I still like you~”

“ATSUMU. I’m not even making fun of your ketchup neck!”

Atsumu just laughs.
Sakusa’s insulting skills significantly dropped the day they confessed.

And maybe Sakusa doesn’t mind as Atsumu makes his drink, helping him rehydrate, and as Sakusa helps him put ointment on his back, offering assistance for the places Atsumu can’t reach. +
Atsumu smirks as Sakusa moves from his back to his neck and arms, places Atsumu can /definitely/ reach. “Omi-omiii. I think yer just findin excuses to touch me now.”

“And if I am?”

Atsumu freezes, his skin growing hotter under Sakusa’s touch for completely non-allergic reasons.
Atsumu takes his hands away from Sakusa to bury his face in them. “Omi. You can’t just do that!”

“You just cleaned my bathroom, Atsumu. I think this is the least I can do.”

Sakusa leans forward to kiss the hands still covering Atsumu’s face. “I just want to take care of you.”
Atsumu’s eyes peek through his fingers before he finally drops them. He’s still red all-over, Sakusa’s still dehydrated, and his toilet just went through hell because he’s a lovesick dumbass.

The smile comes back, sweet and certain. “Let’s take care of each other then, Kiyoomi.”
// Yes this is based off of Zach’s (from The Try Guys) first date with his girlfriend HAHAHA. I suddenly remembered it out of nowhere and my mind immediately went SAKUATSU BEHAVIOR. Oh god help me
