Good morning from downtown L.A., where this year’s Oscar ceremony will be held at Union Station because of Covid restrictions.

In the running for two Oscars tonight is my high school friend from #Luxembourg @Bernard208, the producer of @Collectivemovie. The Luxembourgish-Romanian co-production is up for Best Documentary (Feature) and for Best International Feature Film.
I interviewed @Bernard208, producer of @Collectivemovie for both @100komma7 and @RTLlu back home in #Luxembourg. He’s been in L.A. for ten days because of the Academy’s covid regulations but also to woo its members.
Despite no access to the red carpet and strict Covid restrictions, I’m still greatly looking forward to covering my first Oscars with @AP_GMS, broadcasting today for @RTLlu, @ARISEtv, @euronews, @VOANews, @VOAPortugues, and @VOAAfrique.

I came all the way to Hollywood for this. Donald Trump’s star on the Walk of Fame has been destroyed three times since 2016. It was replaced a few days ago and is now the only one surrounded by traffic cones.
It's been a difficult year to see movies. We've had other things to do, and cinemas have been closed. But before covering the #Oscars this year I got to see most of the nominated films. So I'll comment on a few of them in this thread.

The winner for best foreign film, Another Round, is a wonderful film, full of great acting performances, joie de vivre, and a few tragic moments too. I highly recommend it.
