Drafting new LinkedIn Learning paths. The default ones leave much to be desired.

- People can learn faster
- Core skills are sometimes overlooked

Surprised because LinkedIn has job vacancy data, matching requirements with training shouldn& #39;t be difficult.
Become A Data Analyst Path, for example:

7 courses
Despite the fact most jobs require SQL knowledge. It wasn& #39;t included in this path.

And it& #39;s not for want of SQL courses, LinkedIn Learning has some of the finest SQL courses.
Become A Data Visualization Specialist: Tools path

7 courses covering

- Tableau
- D3 & DC.js
- R

and two Processing courses from 2012 & 2013

They& #39;re better off with a P5.js course given how much progress Processing has made and keeping the focus on Tableau, R, and Javascript
Or...they can add a Data Visualization course with Python.

That way people can navigate from analysis to visualization bases using the same tech stack.
I know there are business factors influencing certain decisions...and frankly I have nothing against them inserting Excel...it& #39;s still a key requirement for certain jobs.

However, placing relevant courses improves the user experience of the product.

FYI: @LinkedIn
Oooorrr...

@LinkedIn can allow people create learning paths just like Spotify and other music services do with playlists.
