Chelsea VS Real Madrid 1st Leg Match Preview

[Thread]
Form and Avg. Position of Opponents (Last 5 League Games):
Real Madrid: 3W 2D (11pts) (Avg. Position= 11.4)
Chelsea: 2W 2D 1L (8 pts) (Avg. Position= 12.8)

Real Madrid is technically on the better form while facing 'better' sides, despite 2 draws in the last 2 games for Madrid..
It is also worth noting Madrid have a streak of 17 games unbeaten in all competitions. Another thing worth looking at; in their last 5 UCL games, Madrid have scored 13 compared to Chelsea's 13, although Chelsea have conceded just 1 compared to Madrid's 7.
Unavailable Players:
⚪:
Kroos🤕
Mendy🤕
Vasquez🤕
Valverde🤕
Ramos🤕

🔵:
Mateo Kovacic 🤕

As we can see Madrid has a significant amount of injuries, although Zidane has clearly figured out how to deal with them.
Areas to look out for:
The Battle of the Goalkeepers🧤:
With both Courtois and Mendy proving vital for their teams, it is going to be a great goalkeeping battle, similar to what we saw in Bayern-PSG. 2 World Class Goalies saving their team multiple times.
The Midfield:
Kroos and Kovacic will not be available for the game but that doesn't change the fact that the midfield battle will be a great one, with the likes of Casemiro and Modric going up against Kante and Jorginho. The midfield, much like the goalies, could decide the game.
The Managers:
Zidane has gone up against Tuchel 4 Times. In those 4 games there were 3 Draws, and 1 Win for Tuchel. Zidane's side scored 6 and Tuchel's scored 9. We are watching a very tactical game with world class players on each team and great managers for both sides.
Favorites? In my eyes, there is no favorite. It looks to be a very neutral game between two well balanced sides. All I can guarantee is that it will be a great game. It might not have many goals but it will still be entertaining and a great fight.
