Welcome to Minecraft, where I have created another new survival world because it seems I just can't settle for one world right now.

Looks nice and snowy, but there's some resources out there.

If I turn around, there's an ocean with some kelp growing, so that's food sorted. Let's go get some kelp.

Had to switch to creative so I didn't drown when taking this, but oh look. That's a shipwreck. Not too far from spawn.

Got me some good loot, including a map. It points back in the direction I spawned in, so let's go back there.

Remember that snow mound to the left of me in the second image in this thread?

Well, that's not a snow mound. That's an igloo.

It's getting kinda late so I'm gonna use that igloo to sleep in a bit.

And it's got a basement.

Spent the next morning punching down a tree, losing my house/igloo, and having to spend ages tracking it down again. re-planted the original tree where it was and put a new one near my house.

Made a pick in case I needed it to find the lost treasure. I didn't. It was under gravel.

Got some good loot but nearly drowned.

Now, time for the igloo basement.

Which is further down and has more silverfish noises than I thought...

Also it's just a hole.
