1. Jonson Clarke-Harris: Peterborough (£1.26m)
In the last year of his contract with his sight set on a step above, Posh snapped up Jonno as Ivan Toney’s replacement.
He’s gone on to score 29 goals as Posh chase promotion. Just 9 goals fewer than Bristol Rovers FC

2. Tony Craig: Crawley (free)
A man of the people, defensive leader with priceless experience. Our best defender for the last three years is... now solid at play-off chasing Crawley. In the division we’re playing in next season. Baffling

3. Ollie Clarke: Mansfield (free)
Captain Ollie Clarke reportedly turned down a new offer from Rovers in favour of joining up with former Rovers boss Graham Coughlan. Coggers was sacked, but Clarke has had a solid season captaining the Stags scoring 3 times

4. Sam Matthews: Crawley (free)
A player who never really shone at Rovers and had his fair share of injury problems. Matthews has found his feet as Crawley push for the play-offs

5. Liam Sercombe: Cheltenham (free)
Released by Ben Garner, the midfielder has gone on to score 8 times as Cheltenham sit top of the League 2 table... the league we’re playing in next season. Arguably our best midfielder of the last few years. Unbelievable

6. Tom Davies: Barrow (loan)
With his contract up this summer, his Rovers future is uncertain. Following 3 centre half additions made by Garner while Davies was injured, and then loaned out by Tisdale, it’s clear Davies was never set to be a mainstay in the team. Again, baffling

7. Rollin Menayese: Mansfield (Undisclosed)
I’m fairness, one of few good squad decisions made in the summer. Coughlan’s Mansfield signed Rollin for an undisclosed fee in July 2020. Flattering to deceive, he’s joined bottom of the table Grimsby

8. Gavin Reilly: Carlisle (free)
A striker who never quite found his feet at Rovers joined the Cumbrians in the summer. Having not scored he’s currently on loan at Livingston in the Scottish top flight.

9. Michael Kelly: Yeovil (loan)
A player who showed plenty of promise prior to Garner’s arrival, even being linked with West Ham
, the Scot found himself one of 4 (yes, four) left backs at the start of the season. He’s at the Glovers on loan with his contract set to expire

Hopefully we can see the dreadful recruitment decisions that were made and learn never to do something like that ever again. Experience and knowledge of the club is invaluable.
