The simultaneous decline and nationalization of local news is very real: I wanted to find a non-Fox account of what Virginia is doing with its math curriculum to see if their characterization was accurate but all that’s out there are takes and aggregations based on the Fox story.

Even the Fox story itself is based on aggregating Facebook posts by a county school board member who is mad about an allegedly forthcoming change.

So all consumers of conservative media now “know” Virginia is ending advanced math classes but it’s not clear to me that they are.
