Is Hiragi Shinya an ordinary human being? - a long thread.

Hiiragi Shinya is a very well done character, one of the best in the entire ons series, but at the same time he's also one of the most mysterious. Hiding his feelings behind a smile, Shinya seems like a carefree boy but is actually the victim of a sad and traumatic past.

He's a character with enormous potential and who i think will have a very important role in the plot of the story later on.

I specifically want to talk about different points that i think we should take into account about the information that we currently have about him.

1. MAHIRU HIRAGI'S FIANCÉ.

Shinya’s parents sold him, and let him get put into a 5 year death match for money and status. Finally after traumatizing years of being forced to kill his friends, he was selected and adopted by the Hiragis to be Mahiru's potential partner, supposedly

only in order to maintain a strong bloodline... but this doesn't really make a lot of sense and I'll explain why.

Taking into account the fact that Shikama Doji has possessed the head of the Hiiragi clan for generations and that they are all mere pawns in his game, Hiiragi Mahiru being especially one of his most important pieces.

He has controlled and calculated every event in her life since her birth, so her death wasn't a mere coincidence but part of his plan as well. With this in mind, if everything has been part of Shikama doji's plan, what is Shinya's true role?

Why would they find a partner for a girl who was destined to die? Was he really adopted just for the purpose of leaving heirs?

SHINYA'S REAL LAST NAME.

Kagami said in an interview that Shinya's last name as well as all information about her biological family was deleted from all existing Hiiragi databases.

Maybe this isn't that relevant but it makes me think about how much we don't know about Shinya's origins and what his life was like before he became a Hiiragi. I even wonder if Shinya still remembers this information.

SHINYA'S FAILED RESURRECTION.

We all know that Shinya was the main reason why Guren destroyed the world, that his death was the trigger for him to start the Apocalypse.

But while all the people who were part of the experiment were revived without any problem, Shinya was the only one whose heart didn't start beating again.

And if this isn't weird enough, Ferid Bathory knew exactly what to do to bring him back to life. He being a vampire, shouldn't care if a human dies, after all he would only be one of many.

I think this part of the story is really important and may be proof that Shinya isn't just an ordinary human. Kagami owes us an explanation about this.

In addition, something that also caught my attention is the fact that Ferid seemed to know that the person who had revived was the very "Hiiragi Shinya".

HUMANITY'S FUTURE.

Kureto literally said that Shinya is an important piece for the future of humanity.

Shinya is an excellent soldier and has exceptional abilities, but is this only the reason why he is so necessary? What's so special about Shinya compared to other loyal soldiers?

Perhaps Kagami is hinting that Shinya will play a very important role in favor of humanity and that all those questions about him will be cleared up later.

THE ANGELIC GUY.

This can be a reach but we know that all characters that have the Michaela gene used to have blue eyes. (Ferid, Crowley, Mika...)

Besides that it's a great coincidence that in addition to all the things that i have named previously, Shinya is also one of the characters that has the most angelic appearance.

This guy literally looks like he's about to sprout wings from his back at any moment. But this is just a theory, what do you think?
