As many as 65% of asexuals may be aegosexual. Aegosexuality is when you can still get aroused in response to certain things, but only if they are sufficiently removed from yourself. Here are some common aegosexual experiences. (1/4)
• Getting aroused by sexual content but not actually wanting to engage in any sexual activities.
• Masturbating, but being neutral or repulsed by the idea of having sex with another person.
• Fantasising about sex, but envisioning people other than yourself, and/or viewing it in third person – like watching it on TV, rather than imagining it in first person, through your own eyes.
• Fantasising about sex, but envisioning only yourself, and not other people
• Mostly or entirely fantasising about fictional characters, celebrities, or people with their faces blurred out, rather than people you know in real life.
• Fantasising about sexual situations, but be turned off by depictions or descriptions that are too explicit.
