Thought I’d take a few mins to share some ‘small autonomous teams win’ analogy to startups who can treat teams as small units who can be helped, prepared ahead of the madness coming up. This is not the peak. The peak is yet to come. So prepare. HR, Ops, Founding teams 👇🏽<thread>
1 - Create a COVID slack helpline for your teams and their families. Push updates, get updates. Set core team who’ll own this.

2 - Create COVID resources database, update everyday. For local teams in relevant cities. important this is updated everyday. Track hospital beds
3 - Get daily infection updates of team and families and track. Direct 2 above accordingly to people in need.

4 - Send daily reminders for keeping your team hydrated, vitamin D dosed and whatever else is needed. Dismiss the nonsense ‘steam inhalation’ protects you messages
5 - Have strict guidelines on stay at home! Still finding so many out on the road like nothings going on. Crack the whip on this one. Its not fair to hurt everyone else because of one person’s stupidity.
6 - Tons of PG folks in startup communities living alone. Track people who live alone and offer help. Ensure access to food, grocery etc. Again ensure no one steps out in a moment of weakness. Pay extra attention and help these folks. Imagine 1 year in solitary confinement 😞
7 - Over the past year we’ve done gaming clubs, journaling clubs and so much more at MSD. Mental health is crucial. Help your teams get through this time.

8 - When vaccines open up for all its going to get worse! Ensure your teams are getting vaccines in a responsible manner
Not needing your teams & families from having to use the system is exactly what we shd be striving for. Peak is not here - access to resources is going to be 10x worse when we get there. Prepare now - small autonomous teams prepping & winning battles is best way to win the war
