2/ Cummings said to "fear jail" over either Brexit spending or the October lockdown leak... but MI5 can't pinpoint who sent the vital WhatsApp message revealing market (and probably national security) sensitive info...

3/ The October leak also caused a frenzy of socialising that boosted infections... and then the Cain-Cummings clique imploded under the pressure... Now the Symonds-Stratton clique has also imploded leaving Rosenfield/Johnson to manage the fall out ...

4/ Rosenfield and Case now have to manage the fallout... but though both from civil service backgrounds, and honest, Rosenfield works for Johnson and is supposed to protect Tory political interests. Yet he can't cover up for malfeasance, and Case is duty bound to root it out....

5/ of course none of this "cuts through" ... yet. Voters see Johnson's clown act as harmless and regard all politicians as crooks... but they care about outcomes and language in that order...

6/ ... and most people understand they are voting for a mayor or council ... but the massive incompetence and hubris-driven death toll during the pandemic will exact a political price ... plus there's a problem with Johnson ..,

7/ Johnson had gone through two camarillas- Cain-Cummings and now Stratton-Rosenfield-Lister... from "vote Leave" to "pink Stetson" ... there is nothing left once that's used up ... except maybe the actual Spectator crowd ...

8/ Johnson himself has no resouces of competence... hence the ridiculous decision to brief the papers himself against Cummings... finally...

9/ Times suggests Cummings fears prosecution over Vote Leave and leaking. In fact the SFO and Electoral Commission should be all over this administration. Even the October leak is a live investigation. If Cabinet solidarity cracks all bets are off (Gove characteristically MIA)
