[Thread] A TOOLKIT.

Yes. You read it right. This thread is a toolkit. A toolkit on ‘HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SECOND WAVE OF COVID-19?’

And here we go.

1/n
With over one lakh ninety thousand deaths, situations are getting worse and worse. We don’t know when the peak will come? It will not be a shock if we will reach to daily four lakh positive cases.

Currently we have three problems statements:

2/n
1- How we can protect us from this wave?
2- What we can do if we get infected?
3- How we can help others (which is also an FAQ and I will be telling that in the end)?

Let’s start with the very first problem.

PROTECTION

3/n
There is no rocket science. You don’t need a degree from Yale University to understand this.

- Wear your damn mask. ALWAYS. If you don’t like yourself in mask just stop taking selfies for few days. Nothing can beat a mask
If you can’t afford N95, just layer the one you have.
4/n
If you have a surgical mask, wear two. This 5₹ mask may end up saving your life.

- Wash your hands. It’s just what your nursery teacher told you. Wash your hands regularly. Regularly means set an interval and keep washing your hands.
5/n
It’s not necessary to use sanitizers always. Your Lifebuoy wala soap is enough. Although when you are going outside, always have a sanitizer and also please use that thing. And yes going outside doesn’t means that you have to go outside.

6/n
- Please don’t go outside. PLEASE DONT. Only if there is something which is more important than your life, you can go. If it’s your friend’s wedding, cancel karo plan. Opt for home delivery of any item you need. And if there isn’t any home delivery option in your area...

7/n
... make a list of everything you will for the next seven days. Grocery, medicine, whatever. Don’t risk your life going. Also don’t stock ki market mein kam pad jae. Buy things only as per your requirements.

8/n
- Get yourself vaccinated. VACCINE lagwao ja kar. For 18 plus population, vaccination drive will start from 1st of May. Don’t give a shit to your WhatsApp messages regarding any gyan on vaccine. Every vaccine available is enough to bring you out from the danger zone.

9/n
And if you are above 45 and haven’t even registered for vaccination, Bhai kyun kar rahe ho aisa?

INFECTED

-If anyone around you has been tested positive or you have started showing mild symptoms, first thing is DONT PANIC.

10/n
-Consult a doctor, prefer online consultation or call your family doctor.
-Don’t rely on a treatment which your Mausa ji is forwarding you.
-Follow your doctor’s prescription. Monitor your vitals. Your SPO2 level and your temperature.

11/n
-If required as per your doctor’s advice, go and get yourself tested.
Listen to what your doctor says.

Stay calm. Almost everyone is recovering. You will also :)
