ive been involved for quite a long time, and there is very little widespread critique of stimulants, many of us use them. please do not mistake us for anti-vax moms. if there is a critique of medication outside a critique of the general psychiatric system, it is a critique of

the forcible, by social work or by law enforcement, widespread adoption of antipsychotic medications that hold little rates of efficacy, that hypersomnia and anhedonia and inability to work, is preferable by the state over someone having psychotic breaks needing personal care.

which is, of course, not a critique that is outside of the critique of the psychiatric system, but critiques may be phrased in terms of the efficacy of those medications, for obvious immediate political reasons.

and the position has never been to immediately cut people off those medications, or advocate that people are to do that, that of course can cause devastating physical and social damage. but, you know we're the ones organizing the methadone clinics too, right?

and, yes, this is a place where you can make rather direct claims about what positions are held, because, regardless of what is on the internet , we are a cohesively organized project, for the most part, with our own literature, just as much as any other "special group"
