As we start vaccination for 18+ from 1 May, a request to all States. Shift vaccination venue from hospitals to some other places, maybe in open if that’s feasible. Hospitals are BIG hotspots right now and may end up spreading Covid even further infecting those coming for doses.

That’s what happened with testing also which became a superspreader in itself. It had happened in various other countries but we didn’t learn and repeated the same mistake. At least with vaccination, it must be avoided. These things should be decentralised as much as possible.

The number of doses administered per day has fallen over the past few days. We did only 25 lakh jabs yesterday. Part of this could be because of restrictions on mobility but a major reason is fear of contracting Covid from hospital hotspots.
