After giving a good thought, here are my views on vaccine pricing:

While supply and sustainability of pvt manufactures are paramount -

1. The govt procurement price for both center and state should be same. Ultimately, they will be provided free to general public.

++
2. Different govt pricing will create more differences between union and state govts. Uniform price will keep their mouth shut.

3. Manufactures can sell with a reasonable minimal net margin(15-20%) to pvt hospitals and corporates.
4. Companies should consider providing vaccines to govt with a “no profit, no loss” price.

5. The share of vaccines between center and state should be 40% each with uniform pricing. Bulk of citizens will be covered here.
6. Remaining 20% should be sold to pvt hospitals/corporates and mostly those who can afford will come here.

7. Also, manufactures can book profits from exports.
8. With this model, companies are not making any loss, but a minimal profit from their sell to pvt hosps/corporates and exports.

9. Govt programs of both center and state will cover majority of deprived section.
10. The money that both center and state spends are public money, our tax money, which should be spent to save lives during a pandemic. There shd be no second thought.

11. During such an unprecedented pandemic, manufactures should focus on minimal profit(with no loss).
