Recruitment Business Model #thread

The nexus of recruiters and terror tanzeems have adopted new method of operating of which the young minds of #Kashmir are becoming prey. This methodology is effectively fueling the cycle of violence, in Kashmir valley.

The business model includes local recruiters (sleeper cells of tanzeems) which are tasked to identify soft targets in their area. They claim their authenticity of being a part of tanzeem by various method including making IEDs for tanzeems & win the trust of potential recruits

The potential recruits are generally young teenagers which include fence-sitter (partially radicalised), those who are under peer pressure, unemployed or willing to explore glamour of picking up weapon. They are identified by recruiters based on their various needs and weakness.

After gaining trust, the recruiters assure them of huge financially benefit post joining the tanzeem. And once they commit their willingness, they are directed to go through a loyalty test.

The next step is to get them in touch with Ameer of tanzeem (who is actually one of the recruiter), who ask them to record a video. Post which they are taken to a hidden place for few days assuring them to establish physical contact with terrorist.

When the family files report at police station against their missing son(which becomes an evidence for police),these recruiters upload the video announcing their joining tanzeems. Here they get trap to the tanzeems.

These local recruits then direct them to launch fidayeen attack or latch them with terrorists for an operation in return of which they (local recruiters) are financially rewarded by the terrorist. This has lead to death of youth of #Kashmir in most of the cases.

This has become a win-win business model for many as it provides financial gains to recruiters and assist volunteer boys in achieving wish of joining ranks. It fuels the cycle of violence in #Kashmir

This cycle can only be put into an end by us, the community, the parents and the teachers. The misinformed and misguided youth should be counselled by us to follow the righteous path rather pushing them into the vicious trap of tanzeems.
