Let’s dissect this a little, shall we? Just for fun.

This is interesting, because cases had started to climb long before the kumbh. And large-scale religious gatherings of all sorts have happened. The Kumbh, namaz prayers for Ramzan, satsangs, etc.

But we can’t mention those, no sir. We’ll get cancelled if we do. Plus, gets in the way of the narrative.

Now for election rallies. Yeah, Modi held rallies. Everyone did. Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Bannerjee, and more. Had rallies been curtailed or election phases compressed, these same pundits would have wailed over the DeAtH oF DeMoCrAcY.

The last bit about the health minister is not only demonstrably false, but also insidious. Because it attempts to imply that we’re seeing so much death because Modi & Co. are “anti-science”.

If that was true, you wouldn’t have seen India execute one of the largest vaccination programs in the world, or become a hub of PPE manufacturing, or impose a lockdown.

But “cow urine” is a nice work that ‘simplifies’ a complex problem into an easily consumable, politically convenient soundbyte. So there it is
