With Disney + churning out spin off series, here's an idea for one that I find not only necessary but will also heal us as a nation. It's the show about how these two beloved characters end up becoming friends. THREAD

With his beloved Elizabeth James prematurely gone and his grown up twin girls across the country running Camp Walden, a lonely Nick Parker decides to sell the the beleaguered vineyard (business wasn’t as good as it was considering the recession and pandemic).

He buys an RV to drive cross country (with Sammy III) to be with his girls on the East Coast. His former nanny, Chessy wants to escape the real estate world she entered after she & her husband Martin left their nanny/butler jobs. They decide to buy the vineyard from Nick.

Chessy wants to save Parker Knoll and revitalize the community by opening it up for Wine Tastings. The board of directors love the idea, but given Chessy’s inexperience in tourism, they think it’s best to hire an expert. Enter thrice divorced PR maven Meredith Blake.

Meredith & Chessy get off to a bumpy start, unable to get past Meredith’s gold digging and classist behavior from 1998. However, Meredith is full of smart, hip ideas and Chessy is such a charming host (along with Martin in his speedo), the Wine Tastings take off.

We learn that as much as Chessy and the vineyard needed this boost, Meredith was in financial trouble herself. After a particularly lush night of tastings, Meredith and Chessy have a heart to heart. Meredith reveals her pattern with abusive husbands post Nick Parker.

She lost all self esteem at 26 & has been spiraling ever since. Her string of divorces ruined her finances & Chessy is the first person to take her on in a while. Chessy reveals her father was an abuser is well & that she found comfort & love in Nick & Hallie's great relationship

Chessy realizes that Meredith has paid a price for her prior behaviors--who doesn't try to get ahead at 26? Meredith and Chessy become a strong team and even stronger friends.

All is well until the season finale surprise visit from Nick Parker and a grown up Annie James and Hallie Parker. How could Chessy betray them like that? Only a second season will tell.
