Unpopular opinion #1: If you can& #39;t handle seeing The Hanged Man (Death, The Devil, Ten of Swords, etc.) and are too "triggered" to use it in a reading, you really have no business doing divination at all, maybe not even messing with the occult in the first place. https://twitter.com/whodreamedit/status/1385982133647253505">https://twitter.com/whodreame...
Unpopular opinion #2: Magical practice of any kind is not safe and painless for the practitioner. It& #39;s not about making you feel comfy and validated all the time. It& #39;s dangerous -- not in the "demons will possess you at the drop of a hat" sense, but rather >
> in the sense of making you understand that things are not necessarily as you& #39;ve always believed, nor as you& #39;d like them to be. It requires fearless self-examination and growth. It will force you to change or die, so to speak -- if you& #39;re not just playing at it, that is.
Unpopular opinion #3: Spirits, deities, and other noncorporeal beings often don& #39;t care about what you feel is ethical or correct. You can choose not to deal with them because of that -- and that& #39;s fine -- but you can& #39;t force them into your narrow ideas of human justice.
Unpopular opinion #4: Having mental health issues does not absolve you of doing the inner work necessary to function as a competent practitioner. In fact, it& #39;s crucial. I know this from personal experience.
Unpopular opinion #5 (thanks to @KtObermanns for pointing this out): If you find your practice becomes more than you can handle, there& #39;s no shame in setting it aside. Make sure you keep any oaths you& #39;ve sworn, but don& #39;t beat yourself up over it.
Finally: who would win the cage death match?
