Watching the street for 2 mins today was a great reminder why we need a mayor in London willing to accelerate the journey to a fairer, more just, streets.

Focus on the parked @MercedesBenz for one moment... and the SUV behind it.

When a the local bus tries to pull in.... guess what, the @MercedesBenz is blocking it’s path.

Parking is allowed on both sides of this street. 2/7

A family with kids trying to get home from their local park.....the @MercedesBenz is forcing them into traffic. 3/7

When a group of four young women on bikes try to get past.... the @MercedesBenz is blocking their path. 4/7

As I wait... an ambulance tries to get past.... two lanes of traffic with parking on both sides means a tortuously slow passage. 5/7

And then just to remind us of who these streets work for... a @Lamborghini Uros, weighing 2 tones with a 4 litre twin turbo V8 engine & costing £160k+ passes by .... polluting the air of those who have chosen to walk.

There is nothing ‘just’ about this street. 6/7

We have choices....

It’s time to stand up for two women on the left.... not the right to park a @MercedesBenz in central London. 7/7
