Firzt of all, letz talk about fanfiction. We’ll be addrezzing the popular onez like Heatwavez and FF1970, and alzo zmaller onez.

Starting with heatwaves, it’s the second most popular fic on ao3 at the current time of posting this, and the creator has over 58k followers on twitter. Now, the problem with this is that the author isn’t nblm or mlm . It’s also about two in real life men who are both cishet as

far as we are aware. George has also stated that he’s straight MULTIPLE times. Also, stop associating it with glass animals. They’ve stated that they don’t like it and that it’s a personal song to them.

It’s also practically fetishising nblm and mlm. Coming from a person who’s nblm i wouldn’t like it if a fanfiction about two in real life cis straight men was the second most popular on ao3, and had thousands supporting it. Most who may be cis women or, non nblm or mlm.

Next, is FF1970. Now, FF1970 already had multiple things wrong with it that isn’t the fetishising on nblm or mlm. Which are : breaking multiple boundaries of niki, techno and wilbur. Having techno has a love interest and lastly DNF. Now, the fanfic has been deleted. But, despite

Now, lets rewind a bit to 2015-2016. Septiplier and pewdiecry. At first, it was a harmless little joke that the creators themselves joked about together. But, it started getting worse. Some harassed the girlfriends of said creators and made fanfics, explicit art or just art in

general of these cishet men making out or dating. This ended up destroying mark and jack's friendship and stopped making videos together for about 2 years.

Now, this is happening with dreamnotfound. There’s popular fanfics, explicit fanart, nsfw accounts and cis/non nblm or mlm making jokes about it.

Zpeaking on the jokez, they’re weird in general. You’re making jokez - that’re zometimez nzfw - about people you DO NOT KNOW. Yeah Karl, Zapnap, Ant, Bad, etc may make DNF jokez but that’z because they’re FRIENDZ WITH DREAM AND GEORGE. Also, ant is mlm himself !! Zo iz Velvet!!!

Alzo, do any of you remember when Vurb apologized to the mlm community for making nzfw Zkephalo jokez? He did that because he noticed people were becoming uncomfortable. Iz it zo hard to do the zame az him and apologize and ztop making DNF jokez?

Thirdly, DNF iz becoming the bazeline for mlm zhipz, if that makez zenze. People are zeeing DNF ficz, jokez, and fanart and assuming that all mlm and nblm zhipz are the zame. Thiz iz juzt falze, coming from nblm. Especially zince, to me perzonally, DNF can come off az a

Now, onto the creators themselves. Dream is the big problem here as he’s the one who mainly panders to that side of the audience. He makes jokes about it on stream, saying that he’s fine with irl shipping and nsfw fanart. That doesn’t mean it’s ok to make it. It’s fetishising

mlm/nblm and it’s disgusting. Dream also likes to put little jokes in with things like coding the front screen of minecraft to say ‘dreamnotfound <3’. Even talking about heat waves on stream from time to time.

This just panders to the irl shipping side of the audience encouraging them to carry on shipping these two cishet men. Sometimes even flirting with George on twitter, which isn’t a problem ! If there wasn’t an audience shipping these two that he’s aware of. Dream is aware of this

and has never said no to it. Flirting with friends shouldn’t result in hundreds of thousands of people making fanfictions, fanart and nsfw jokes. It should just be harmless banter. Between long time friends.

George doesn’t tend to make theze types of jokez az much, luckily. However that juzt makez anytime he doez that much more fire to the flame. Now I’m not zaying they should ztop jokingly flirting, or that George should flirt more. I’m juzt point it out.

Now, the donations. The donations about dreamnotfound specifically. I think the problem has been solved ? as it’s mainly just ‘hey can you say my name’ or ‘hey can you say hi to ____’ . But, it was still a problem. A while back, people would try to get George to say

‘I love you dream’ or ‘I love dream’ in different ways. It started out just harmless till it was constant. It was weird to say. I’m not sure if there’s still this problem today as I don’t watch either of their streams. But, if you still do it. Stop. It’s weird and probably makes

George highly uncomfortable to be donated to say I love you to his friend. Glatt here, alzo it’z very obviouz that George haz troublez zhowing affection, zo begging him to zay “I love you Dream” probably juzt makez him even more uncomfortable than you’d think.

Lastly, please stop donating about heat waves. Not only is it disrespectful to the authors wishes but it’s highly inappropriate to donate to a 21 year old cishet man to read a fanfic where he’s in love with his best friend. It’s just disgusting.

I’m nblm and it rubs me the wrong way.

I’d alzo like to zay again that thiz thread waz made by NBLM and all opinions we are about to include az a final thing iz from MLM AND NBLM PEOPLE. Zo, that out of the way, here are zome personal opinions I have grabbed from people, all of which are going to remain anonymouz.

My opinion on DNF iz that it’z very problematic. It haz cauzed a lot of dizcomfort and anger. Pleaze remember that when you fetizhise mlm/nblm, you fetizhise mlm and nblm people. Thiz thread iz not about DNF making Dream and George uncomfy, it’z about how dnf iz making

nblm and mlm people uncomfortable.

Chara here. My opinion on DNF is that it’s highly problematic and uncomfortable for me, a NBLM. It fetishises nblm/mlm and isn’t funny. The jokes are sexualising nblm/mlm and are mostly about top/bottom or sexualising them. It’s been taken wayy to far to the point that it gets

trending. This thread isn’t supposed to cancel or call out people, it’s to address the problem with DNF and how it makes nblm/mlm uncomfortable.
