imagine like at some point later on, they're in the car one night working and they talk for a bit about stuff, nonsense, and then the conversation dies down because they both get a little awkward so they stay silent and ALL OF A SUDDEN, like out of the blue he goes like -

-"You know...I meant it" and she knows of course what he's talking about but she cant do this so she pretends not to know "What?"and he smiles at her because he knows she's playing dumb but at this point he doesn't give a fuck anymore because what's the point? he said it already-

- so he goes like "I do love you liv" and she just looks at him trying not to cry and not knowing what to say so he says "It's okay" to let her know that she doesn't have to say it back "I just want you to know that i dont regret saying it" -

-and she stays silent but she also wants him to know that she's right there with him and that she cares so she goes like "el-" she knows he'll notice she called him el again for the first time"I'm really glad you're back" and he smiles and they keep staying in silence-

- but they're okay because in her own way she said it back.
