kaeya passive talent allows him to regenerate HP and his C4 triggers a shield for him when his HP hits a critical rate. it is as if he is designed to support himself in battle since he doesn’t have anyone else to rely on. he is his own healer and his own shield.

what if his in game character is designed according his own consciousness and trauma? that he believed he doesn’t need to have anyone by his side and shoulder the burden by himself. if someone is by his side, it would only hurt the both of them in the end.

his healing isn’t that much either and his shield will only activate when he’s at a very critical rate in battle in order to not die. it’s like he’s barely surviving to get through it. he’s just doing what he can to survive.

this lead me to believe we underestimated how deep the events of the day when kaeya received his vision had cut into kaeya’s heart and mind. that his ability develops as a defence mechanism towards how things turned out and his thought when it rains was how ‘effective’ cryo is.
